Uros Ljeskovic joined the Lopes in the summer of 2015 after playing three years at Coastal Carolina. He has one season of eligibility remaining.
In the Classroom Ljeskovic is a graduate student who is working toward a master's degree in business administration at Grand Canyon.
At Coastal Carolina Ljeskovic made five starts but played in just eight games in 2014-15 while averaging 4.0 points and 3.3 rebounds. Despite the limited time, he posted a career-high 12 rebounds against Trinity Baptist in the season-opener and made 11-of-21 shot attempts (52.4 percent) in his abbreviated season.
As a sophomore, Ljeskovic made three starts in 32 appearances while averaging 3.3 points and 2.7 rebounds per game. He set a career high with 14 points at Gardner-Webb while going a perfect 5-of-5 from the field and 4-of-6 from the free throw line. He then added double-figures with 10 points against N.C. Wesleyan, 12 versus Central Connecticut State, 13 at Gardner-Webb and 10 against UNC Asheville. During a four-game stretch midway through the season, he went 13-of-15 from the field (86.7 percent) with a combined 35 points.
As a freshman, he appeared in 26 games, making eight starts. Ljeskovic averaged 2.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 12.7 minutes per game, including posting a season-high 10 rebounds against Clemson and season-high eight points against Boston University and College of Charleston.
Ljeskovic was named to the 2012-13 Big South Presidential Honor Roll for posting at least a 3.0 GPA for the academic year following both his freshman and sophomore campaigns.
High School Ljeskovic played for the U18 Montenegrin Team at the European Championships and with numerous club teams in his native Montenegro, including KK Sutjeska, before played one year in Burlington, Ontario, Canada at Nelson High School. He led Nelson to the bronze medal at the Chancellor Invitational and was named a first-team all-star at the event.
