Lauritzen earns MW Golfer of the Week award

GCU sophomore finished 2 under, tied for 21st in Tucson
Grand Canyon sophomore Nixon Lauritzen finished tied for 21st in a loaded field that included three top-35 teams at the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate this week.
Lauritzen's efforts earned him Mountain West Golfer of the Week.
Lauritzen helped lead the Lopes to a top-eight finish, shooting rounds of 72, 70 and 72 over two days with 12 birdies, four in each round. He was exceptional on par-4 holes, averaging a score of 3.9 to tie for fifth in the 81-player field.
The California native shot 3 under over his final 27 holes with seven of his birdies in that span.
GCU heads northwest to partake in the Duck Invitational beginning Monday in Eugene, Oregon.
