Grand Canyon volleyball visits UNLV (5-10, 1-3 MW) Friday at 6 p.m. before the Rebels head to Phoenix for round two on Saturday at 4 p.m. Saturday's match is the Lopes' Faith and Family Day.Â

- Grand Canyon volleyball battled Hawai'i closely for much of the weekend, dropping three of the first four sets by just two points before the Rainbow Wahine completed consecutive sweeps. The Lopes held Hawai'i to .165 hitting Friday, while Starr Williams totaled 30 kills across the two matches and GCU gained experience from freshmen stepping into larger roles amid injuries. GCU moves to 7-8 overall and 1-3 in Mountain West play with an emphasis on improving serving and late-set execution heading into next week's road series at UNLV.
