The Grand Canyon leader in minutes played has earned the Lopes' third WAC weekly award of the season.

Junior defender
Felipe Cobian was named WAC Defensive Player of the Week after aiding the GCU back line to a 2-0 shutout of previously unbeaten CSUN on Sept. 26.
Cobian has logged 694 minutes, more than any other Lope this season out of a possible 720. He has started every match in his first season in Phoenix and recently tallied six shots and two shots on goal in the win over the Matadors.
Cobian is second on the team in shots (17) and shots on goal (6), making him a dual threat player on a back line that ranks top 25 nationally in goals against average. GCU's defense has yet to allow more than one goal in a match this season and has posted two shutouts.
Cobian is the third Lope to earn a WAC weekly honor, joining freshmen
Charles Volcy (Defensive) and
Junior Diouf (Co-Offensive).
GCU hosts UT Rio Grande Valley at 7 p.m. Tuesday for its final nonconference match-up of the regular season. It stays home and hosts (RV) Utah Valley on Saturday at 7 p.m.
