- GCU went 2-1 in the Sun Devil Classic, picking up wins against Pepperdine and Milwaukee. Ramirez and Goodere were named to the All-Sun Devil Classic Team.
- Ramirez led the Lopes' attack with 39 kills (3.55 per set), highlighted by a career-high 23 in the win over Pepperdine.
- Goodere was highly efficient, hitting .439 with 23 kills and adding 10 blocks for a two-way impact.
- Freshman middle blocker Aubrey Bellus also contributed with 19 points, tallying 12 kills, four aces and six blocks in seven sets.
SCOUTING
- Boise State split its weekend series at South Dakota State, falling 3-0 on Sept. 19 before rallying twice from a set down to win the rematch in five set against the defending Summit League champions. The Broncos were led by Layla Smith's 17 kills, 16 blocks and 25.5 points, Sydney Dreves' 17 kills, two aces and 20.5 points, and Bridey O'Connor's 16 kills, eight blocks and 20 points.
- Utah State enters conference play at 3-7 after being the preseason No. 1 pick. Six of the Aggies' seven losses were to teams that are ranked or receiving votes.

- The Lopes will host Wyoming (Oct. 2) and Colorado State (Oct. 4).
