Leading the conference with the most representation on All-WAC first and second teams, Grand Canyon garnered four WAC postseason awards.
GCU's
Calynne Rosholt, a graduate student, and
Anci Dy, a senior, garnered first-team honors, while Lopes sophomore
Brenna Preap and senior teammate
Alyzzah Vakasiuola claimed second-team accolades.
It is the seventh consecutive season GCU has placed at least three players on All-WAC postseason teams with four honorees being the program's most since 2022-23.
Rosholt finished the season with a 74.7 scoring average in 34 rounds, totaling two top-five finishes and three top-10 placements. The Cedar Park, Texas, native nearly took home the individual title at GCU's home course in Phoenix, placing second after a playoff, and tied for sixth at the Red Rocks Invitational to aid the Lopes' team title.
Dy, who followed first-year head coach
Brent Nicoson from UIndy after last year's NCAA Division II national title, recorded five top-10 outings and three top-five finishes. Dy shot 74.5 per round in 34 rounds and tied for third place at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic and Cowgirl Classic. Dy, who is from Traverse City, Michigan, shot a season-low round of 68 twice, including a second-round score of 4 under in Hawaii to help lead GCU finish third.
Preap made a significant leap from her freshman to sophomore season, starting in every competition and tallying a 74.6 scoring average. Preap's season-low round happened twice at 3 under, and she shot 69/74/72 at the PING/ASU Invitational. The Stockton, California, native led the Lopes at the WAC Championship, finishing 17th at 8 over par. Preap also took home WAC Golfer of the Week on Feb. 19.
Vakasiuola, while limited in the spring due to injury, played 15 rounds in the fall and led GCU to a third-place showing at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational, earning third with the team's season-low round of 67 (5 under). Vakasiuola, who is from San Tan Valley, Arizona, averaged a 75.9 scoring average over 18 rounds and finished her season in the WAC Championship lineup.
Since 2022, GCU has totaled 17 All-WAC postseason honors. The Lopes finished the season 103-56-1 with seven top-five finishes.
