Final series takes Lopes to Abilene

Grand Canyon travels to Abilene for the final regular season series of the season.

GCU clinched their second-consecutive WAC Regular Season title last weekend, just needing one win over Utah Tech.
The Lopes are ranked 24th in the ESPN/USA Softball poll this week. Last week was the program's first ever ranking.
GCU is riding a program-record 17-game winning streak. The streak is the longest-active winning streak in the nation.

This will be the 8th-10th matchups between GCU and Abilene Christian, with the all-time record in favor of the Lopes at 6-1. Grand Canyon has never played at Poly Wells Field in Abilene.
The Wildcats are 15-34 on the season with an 11-10 conference record. Abilene Christian has won their last three conference series, including taking 2/3 at California Baptist last season.
Abilene Christian is hitting .231 with a team ERA of 5.50.
Wildcats outfielder Taylor Bachmeyer has led the way offensively with a .318 AVG and 20 RBI's.

vs Utah Tech

The Lopes swept Utah Tech over the past weekend, extending their winning streak to seventeen games.
GCU swept the Friday doubleheader with a 5-3 win in game one and a run-rule victory in the game two nightcap.
Grand Canyon won game 3 on Saturday. The Lopes celebrated six seniors in their final games at GCU Softball Stadium.

WHAT'S NEXT?

GCU begins their quest for their fourth-consecutive WAC Tournament championship. The Lopes are the No. 1 seed and will play at 1:00 PM on Thursday for their first game.
