Academic All-WAC honors 56 GCU student-athletes

Honorees hold cumulative GPAs of at least 3.2 among other criteria
Grand Canyon continued its upward trend of academic excellence in athletics, landing 56 student-athletes on the 2025 Winter Academic All-WAC Team. The recognition spans six sports and highlights the commitment of GCU student-athletes to their sport and to the classroom.
This announcement follows the fall release, where 33 GCU student-athletes earned Academic All-WAC honors, to bring the university's 2024-25 total to 89Â recipients across fall and winter sports.
To qualify for the Academic All-WAC Team, student-athletes must have posted a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher, completed at least one academic year at the institution and participated in at least 50% of their team's competitions.
GCU's 56 winter honorees, two more than the Lopes earned for the 2023-24 winter, rank second in the conference to Utah Valley (58)Â and include standout performers from men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track and field, and men's and women's swimming and diving.
