Grand Canyon heads across town Tuesday night for a rematch with rival Arizona State before flying to Arlington, Texas, for a three-game conference series with UT Arlington over the weekend.

The Lopes were ranked in the Softball America and D1Softball polls for the first time ever this week (25th in each).
Sophomore second baseman Savannah Kirk ranks fifth in the country in hits (67), fifth in batting average (.500), and seventh in stolen bases (35). She has the most stolen bases without being caught in the country.
GCU ranks third in the country in ERA (1.86) and 16th in the nation in batting average (.344).

SCOUTING ARIZONA STATE

Arizona State has won six straight games, including a sweep of Utah last weekend and a mid-week sweep of its doubleheader at UTEP.
The Sun Devils are hitting .314 with a 3.05 ERA.
Grand Canyon is 3-2 all-time against Arizona State, winning this season's first meeting 3-0 at GCU Softball Stadium.

SCOUTING UT ARLINGTON

GCU is 3-0 all-time against UT Arlington after sweeping the Mavericks at home last season. UTA is tied for third place in the WAC with an 8-7 conference record.
The Mavericks are hitting .258 with a team ERA of 4.08.
Kailee Bautista leads UT Arlington in batting average (.333) while Jessica Adams leads the Mavericks in the circle (2.55 ERA).

GCU vs Seattle U

Last weekend, the Lopes swept Seattle U, which was second in the WAC before the series. GCU run-ruled both games in the Friday doubleheader, before freshman Jada Cooper walked off the Redhawks with an RBI single in the eighth inning of Game 3 on Saturday.

Grand Canyon returns home to GCU Softball Stadium for the Lopes' final home series of the season with Utah Tech. Senior Day will be Saturday, April 26, at 12 p.m. (Phoenix time).
