The 16th-ranked Grand Canyon beach volleyball team is on the road Friday and Saturday to compete in four dual matches in Stanford for the first ever MPSF Mid-Season Rumble.
On Friday, the Lopes will face No. 3 USC at 9 a.m. (Phoenix time) and No. 9 Cal at 11 a.m. before Saturday matches against Oregon 9 a.m. and No. 1 UCLA at 1 p.m. This will mark the first road matches of the season for the Lopes (4-0) along with their first matches against ranked opponents. On its opening weekend, GCU swept the highest-vote receiving squad of Arizona.

Becca Drake,
Sophia Hladyniuk and
Karynn Garrow remain undefeated this season.Â

Scouting USC
- The Trojans are the three-time back-to-back-to-back champions.
- USC ranks No. 3Â in the nation with a record of 8-2.
Scouting Cal
- The Golden Bears are 7-1Â with it's sole loss coming to Long Beach State.Â

- The Ducks are currently 3-3, after winning the first three match of the year.Â
- The Lopes are 1-0 against Oregon, with the only match happening in 2022 in Phoenix.Â

- The Bruins are 9-1Â after facing 8Â ranked opponents to begin the year.
- UCLA are the two-time national runner-ups. Â
What's next?
Following the four matches in Stanford, the Lopes will head to San Louis Obisbo, California for a tournament on March 15-16.
