Grand Canyon women's volleyball signed four players this week as future Lopes who will join the 2026 team.
The group marks GCU head coach
Kendra Potts' second recruiting class.
Audrey Cook
Setter - Houston, Texas - Stratford High School
Potts: "Audrey comes in to bring more depth and options into our setting position. She is extremely athletic, great at defense and has a very high volleyball IQ. She is a playmaker and knows how to create scoring opportunities for her hitters but also find ways to score herself. Being name first-team all-district and district MVP, AVCA all-region and All-American watch list, Audrey is a highly decorated volleyball player. She represents everything we are looking for in the future of GCU volleyball, and we know she will make a great impact on this program both on and off the court. We are so excited to welcome Audrey and her family to GCU."
Accolades: First team all-district, team and district MVP, two-year team captain, AVCA Phenom, AVCA all-region, AVCA All-American watch list, Texas Girls Coaches Association all-state, Texas Girls Coaches Association all-star team, Prep Dig Player of the Week, 3-time all-tournament team, four-time GHVCA postseason team, AVCA Best and Brightest.
Cook: "I chose GCU because the moment I stepped on to campus I felt overflowing joy. I love how everyone is supportive of each other as well as the constant prayer and goal to glorify God. The smaller class sizes and the welcoming community are main points that made me fall in love with this college."
Kaela Jenkins
Middle blocker - Tiffin, Ohio - Columbian High School
Potts: "Kaela is incredibly physical and strong as a middle blocker. She will be able to contribute immediately at the net both as a blocker and as an offensive weapon in the middle. She will allow us to continue being one of the best blocking teams in the conference. She was the starting middle blocker for the 2024 AAU national champions, Mintonette Sports Volleyball Club. Kaela was also named Player of the Year for her district as well as second-team All-Ohio. She is a great student of the game and can play calm in high-pressure situations. We are so excited to officially welcome Kaela and her family to GCU."

Alayna Austin
Libero/defensive specialist - Mesa, Ariz. - Mountain View High School
Potts: "We are so thrilled to add Alayna to our roster. We love that she is local player that gets to compete in front of her family and friends. She will bring in more ball control and defensive range to our team. She is coming off an amazing high school career, being named all-region and finishing with over 1,000 career digs. Alayna is also a former teammate of current Lope,
Aubrey Bellus. We are so excited to welcome Alayna and her family to GCU."

Gentry Oblad
Outside hitter - Henderson, Nev. - Coronado High School
Potts: "Gentry comes to us with a high level of playing experience as a six-rotation outside hitter. She has amazing ball control, court vision and game IQ. She was one of the top recruits out of the state of Nevada. She played club volleyball with the Las Vegas Aces and was named to the USAV 2024 Junior National Championships All-Tournament Team. She comes from an extremely athletic family. Her brother played college football and her sister was an All-American volleyball player for the University of Utah and plays professionally for the Real Pro Volleyball League. We are so excited to welcome Gentry and her family to GCU."
