Grand Canyon is taking to the road for Thursday's match at UNLV (8-6), marking the Lopes' first conference away match after playing its first four at home. GCU will then return to Phoenix to host New Mexico on Saturday for its Faith and Family Day.
Thursday's 6:30 p.m. match will be available on Mountain West Network while Saturday's 2 p.m. match will be shown on 3TV, Arizona's Family Sports and Mountain West Network.

LAST TIME OUT
- GCU went 0-2 last weekend after two battles against Colorado State and Wyoming. In the high-level competition, Bellus continued her early-season surge, leading the Lopes with 13 kills, eight blocks and 17.5 points on a .296 hitting percentage.
- After Saturday's loss, Potts said, " I'm excited to get lost with the team and focus on nothing else but the match we have Thursday. I think the road trip is going to be great for us."
SCOUTING
- UNLV is 2-2 in MW play with wins against Nevada and Fresno State. The Rebels have yet to play a conference match at home this season. UNLV leads the conference and is 42nd in the country in service aces per set at 1.85. Outside hitter Basia Latos was picked to the conference preseason team, and UNLV was projected to tie for sixth place. In the NCAA's first RPI rankings, UNLV came in at 198.
- New Mexico is 0-4 in conference play, sharing the same four opening opponents as the Lopes. The Lobos' Madeline Miller leads the conference in service aces with 24. Camilia Canedo is second in the MW in digs per set (3.97). New Mexico was voted ninth in the conference coaches' preseason poll and has an RPI of 191.

- The Lopes will travel to San Diego State (Oct. 16) and play at New Mexico (Oct. 18).
