The Grand Canyon softball team hosts No. 20 Oregon and celebrates Faith and Family Night on Wednesday at 6 p.m. before traveling to Tarleton State for a weekend WAC series.

3 THINGS TO KNOW

The Lopes are on an eight-game win streak, hitting a top-10 national batting average of .343, with a seven-game streak of double-digit hits.
Graduate first baseman Ashley Trierweiler ranks No. 2 in hits (62) and No. 12 in batting average (.456) in the NCAA this season.
GCU also holds top-20 rankings in runs per game (No. 14, 6.66), doubles (No. 17, 64), slugging percentage (No. 18, .524) and on-base percentage (No. 19, .414).

SCOUTING OREGON

Oregon is on a two-game win streak after back-to-back wins over No. 9 Washington and is 4-3 on the road.
The Ducks are hitting .317 with a 3.12 team ERA.
These two programs met have met once previously, resulting in a 5-3 Oregon win in 2021.

SCOUTING TARLETON STATE

Tarleton State has one WAC series victory over UT Arlington on March 22-23 but was swept by Utah Valley and California Baptist, split with Abilene Christian and most recently fell to Stephen F. Austin.
The Texans are hitting .276 with a team ERA of 5.59.
Tarleton State ranks last in the WAC standings, while the Lopes continue to lead the WAC this season.

LAST TIME OUT

GCU vs UT Arlington

The Lopes swept their third consecutive series, notched their eighth straight win and piled up double-digit hits for the seventh consecutive game with a program high of 37 hits in a WAC sweep.
GCU (33-8, 12-2 WAC) matched its season high for doubles (six) that they set Friday night against UT Arlington. In the Lopes' Division I era since 2014, they had never posted double-digit hits in more than four consecutive games.

The Lopes host Arizona State on Tuesday at 6 p.m. for First Responder/Military Appreciation Night, and Southern Utah on April 19-20 for a weekend WAC series.
