LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Grand Canyon women's golf team concluded the first day of the Marilynn Smith Invitational on Monday afternoon.
GCU ended the first two rounds in 13th place at 39 over, in a field that has 12 of 13 teams over par.
Graduate
Calynne Rosholt led the Lopes at 7 over and is tied for 32nd. Rosholt dropped a team-best six birdies on Monday, including four in her even-par second round. GCU sophomore
Brenna Preap is two shots back of Rosholt and is tied for 38th at 9 over.
Senior
Anci Dy (tied for 43rd), senior
Alyzzah Vakasiuola (tied for 51st) and junior
Amelia Curtis (tied for 63rd) round out the Lopes' starting five.
The third and final round starts Tuesday morning at 6 (Phoenix time).
