GCU welcomes Utah Valley on Thursday, Southern Utah on Saturday

	GRAND CANYON LOPES (13-7, 6-2 WAC)	vs.	UTAH VALLEY WOLVERINES (14-6, 5-3 WAC)
			SOUTHERN UTAH THUNDERBIRDS (8-11, 4-4 WAC)

For the first time since the GCU Classic in mid-September, the Lopes women's volleyball team has a week of home play, hosting Utah Valley on Thursday night and Southern Utah on Saturday.

3 THINGS TO KNOW

GCU ranks 12th in the nation in blocks with 204.5 through the first 20 matches of the season.
Lopes senior middle blocker Trista Strasser ranks 16th nationally in total blocks with 100.
GCU junior outside hitter Tatum Parrott ranks 30th in the country this season in points per set with 4.88. Her career average of 4.06 kills per set ranks fifth naitonally amond active Division I players.

LAST TIME OUT

The most recent GCU vs.Utah Valley matchup took place on Oct. 5 when the Lopes were victorious 3-0 in Orem, Utah.
GCU last played Southern Utah on Oct. 12 with a 3-2 victory on the road. Sophomore outside hitter Ellie Frey provided a boost off the bench with 11 kills and eight digs.

SCOUTING REPORT

Utah Valley (14-6) is coming off of a five-set Saturday victory against California Baptist, thanks to a school-record 33 kills.
Southern Utah (8-11) lost to Utah Tech 3-1 on the road Monday. Senior setter Teniyah Leuluai led the match with 30 assists.

WHAT'S NEXT?

The Lopes hit the road for a trip to Texas to face Abilene Christian on Oct. 31, followed by a match at Tarleton State on Nov. 2.
