Fall academic honorees named by WAC

Women's soccer leads Lopes teams with 11 picks
Grand Canyon had 34 fall student-athletes honored by the WAC in its release of Academic All-WAC accolades.
The women's soccer program led the way with 11 selections, while men's soccer had eight athletes named to the list. Women's volleyball had seven honorees, women's cross country had five honorees and men's cross country featured three.
Academic All-WAC honors athletes who competed in at least 50% of their team's competitions this past fall and hold a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or better. To be eligible, student-athletes had to have been at their respective institution for at least one full school year. First-year student-athletes who meet the other criteria but have not yet been at their school for a full year will be eligible for the WAC's end-of-year release.
