SEATTLE — Grand Canyon's 14-game winning streak ended Saturday night when it lost a seven-point lead in the final five minutes and allowed Seattle U to score the final eight points of its 86-79 win at Redhawk Center. The Lopes (17-2, 7-1 WAC) remain in first place in the conference despite the Redhawks (11-8, 4-4 WAC) moving to 10-2 at home.

GCU graduate power forward
Gabe McGlothan recorded the second-highest scoring game of his career with 28 points on 8-of-15 shooting, which included him making 4 of 6 shots from 3-point range.
Key moment
The Lopes took a 76-69 lead on a McGlothan jump hook with 4:50 remaining, but Seattle U made five of its last shots after GCU junior guard
Collin Moore fouled out.
Key statistic
The game rhythm broke with 53 fouls called, 29 of which were in the first half. The Lopes shot 10 more free throws than the Redhawks but only went 30 for 44 (68%).
Quotable
Lopes head coach
Bryce Drew: "We haven't had one game with the flow or rhythm like we had tonight. We saw stuff out there tonight that we haven't seen in 18 games. Playing on the road, you have to be able to be tough and you have to be able to make plays and make plays in key moments. That's something we've got to work on for those last three or four minutes on the road."
What's next?
GCU stays on the road for two more games next week in Texas, starting Thursday at Stephen F. Austin and continuing Saturday at UT Arlington.
