Lopes bump nation's best record to 17-1 with 14th consecutive win
Grand Canyon bumped its nation-leading record to 17-1 while taking its winning streak to 14 games with a 78-65 triumph against Utah Valley on Thursday night at Global Credit Union Arena. The Lopes moved to 10-0 at home for the first time in their Division I era and stayed undefeated in WAC play.
GCU graduate power forward Gabe McGlothan tallied 14 points, seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and three blocked shots. He was a plus-23 in 29 minutes.
