Graduate forward Sydney Erikstrup had a career week in Grand Canyon's two wins over Abilene Christian and Tarleton State, and now adds an accolade to the season as the WAC Newcomer of the Week.

Erikstrup averaged 18.5 points and 3.0 rebounds while making six three pointers and converting all seven free throws attempted. The Portland, Oregon, native shot 66% from the field and 54% from three.

Erikstrup scored a team-high 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting against the Wildcats. She followed that up with a career-high 21 points Saturday against the Texans, recording four rebounds, four three pointers and two assists while mirroring her Thursday shooting performance with a 6-of-9 mark from the field.
