Libero leads Lopes defense to 2-0 WAC start
Grand Canyon sophomore libero Tatum Thomas earned the WAC Libero of the Week award for her conference opening-week performance in Utah.
GCU (9-4, 2-0 WAC) continued it's five-match sweep streak with 3-0 victories over Southern Utah and Utah Tech last week, with Thomas posting 32 digs for 5.33 digs per set, 27 receptions (.963), and 7 assists (1.17 aps).
The Lopes host Abilene Christian, their first home event since Sept. 3, this Thursday at 6 p.m. (Phoenix time) followed by a 2 p.m. Saturday match against Tarleton at GCU Arena.
