Gianni became the first Lope to land on a USA Volleyball senior roster in 2021, when he competed at the NORCECA Continental Championship and helped Team USA to a fifth-place finish. He made a splash against Guatemala, recording a tournament-high 28 points on 25 kills with a .545 hitting percentage.
Â
Gianni is one of eight players from the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation competing with Team USA this week.
