Gianni returns to U.S. NORCECA roster

In 2nd Team USA stint, Gianni will compete for Pan American Cup in Mexico
For the second time in his career, Grand Canyon men's volleyball redshirt junior Camden Gianni will wear the red, white and blue and represent Team USA in the 2023 NORCECA Pan American Cup in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Gianni, in his second stint with Team USA, will compete in the five-day event beginning on Tuesday when the U.S. faces Puerto Rico and then Chile on Wednesday in pool play. Semifinal action and the championship match will take place on Friday and Sunday, respectively..
Gianni became the first Lope to land on a senior U.S. Volleyball roster in 2021 when he competed at the NORCECA Continental Championship, helping Team USA to a fifth-place finish. He made a splash against Guatemala, recording a tournament-high 28 points on 25 kills with a .545 hitting percentage.
Gianni, along with UCLA players Troy Gooch, Ethan Champlin and Merrick McHenry, will represent the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation in the competition. The U.S. men have won the Pan American Cup five times, most recently in 2012, and took home bronze in 2022.
