3 THINGS TO KNOW
- Senior right fielder Kristin Fifield broke the Lopes' Division I-era record for career RBIs this weekend (152) and tied the all-time GCU home run record (35) with a three-run homer on Saturday.
- Junior pitcher Hailey Hudson tossed her first complete game since throwing a no-hitter against CSU Bakersfield on Feb. 28, pitching her fifth shutout of the season.
- Sophomore pitcher Meghan Golden ranks fourth nationally in strikeouts per seven innings (11.5), seventh in ERA (0.80) and 10th in hits allowed per seven innings (3.34). Fifield ranks second in the nation in RBIs (52) and RBIs per game (1.58), fifth in home runs (12) and seventh in total bases (86). Hudson ranks eighth in the shutouts (five). The Lopes also lead the WAC in 13 of 18 statistical categories this season.
SCOUTING NEW MEXICO STATE
- The Aggies lead the conference in home runs per game (1.44), ranking eighth in the nation in the category.
- New Mexico State is led by Kendal Lunar (hitting .348) and Paige Knight (18 RBIs) and is led in the circle by Aydenne Brown (4.30 ERA, 6-3).
- The Lopes carry a 14-18 record with the Aggies, winning the last five of their six 2022 matchups. However, GCU is 6-11 when playing NMSU on the road.

- GCU won its first home WAC series of the season, putting up staggering weekend statistics against Tarleton with a 1.47 staff ERA and a .377 team batting average, as Lopes hitters reached base nearly half the time over three games.
- The Lopes run-ruled Tarleton 12-0 for their biggest blowout of the season and GCU's largest shutout victory since 2018.
