Grand Canyon and Arizona continue a three-game season series that got under on March 7 in Phoenix. The Lopes will look to avenge that loss when the teams meet up at Tucson's Hi Corbett Field on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
The game will be live streamed on

THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- BATTING AVERAGE RISING: GCU junior shortstop Jacob Wilson is on an offensive tear that saw him go 10 for 17 (.588) in last week's four-game set. He pushes his batting average to .473 on the year and .615 in WAC play. His overall average ranks fourth nationally behind Dylan Crews of LSU (.531), Mike Boeve of Omaha (.489) and Dylan Ditzenberger of New Mexico (.473). Wilson is on a 19-game reached-base streak.
- PATIENCE AT THE PLATE: GCU has showed patience at the plate, especially over the last 10 games, drawing an average of 5.7 walks per game. The Lopes walked 11 times in a series-opening win over Sacramento State on March 17 and walked 13 times in Friday's win over Sam Houston. Graduate second baseman Zack Gregory leads the WAC and ranks 29th in the country in walks per game.
- LOPES, WILDCATS CONTINUE: A series between the two programs that dates back to 1967 picked up again in earnest in 2017 when the teams resumed regular meetings. GCU took two of three games from Arizona last year, winning both games in Tucson by scores of 19-3 and 11-7. The Lopes and Wildcats have split the last eight meetings. GCU is looking to avenge a 12-10 loss to Arizona on March 7 at GCU Ballpark.
SCOUTING
Arizona is looking to snap a three-game skid and a stretch of six losses in its last seven games. The Wildcats dropped three at Arizona State over the weekend and were also swept by UCLA on the road. Arizona sandwiched a midweek win against Utah Tech in between the pair of sweeps.
The Wildcats flash power, ranking third nationally with 2.64 doubles per game. Junior utility Kiko Romero has 10 to his credit to lead the Pac-12 and rank in the nation's top 30.
Arizona is coming off of a 39-win season where it went 2-2 in the Coral Gables Regional.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Lopes continue WAC play onto the road with a three-game set at Utah Valley beginning on Friday at 5 p.m. (Phoenix time).
