Gamecocks stay undefeated in Arizona Tip-Off Cactus Division championship
GLENDALE, Ariz. — Grand Canyon suffered its first loss of the season to South Carolina, which held off the Lopes' second-half comeback attempt to win the Arizona Tip-Off Cactus Division championship 75-68 on Sunday at Desert Diamond Arena.
Lopes graduate power forward Gabe McGlothan scored 13 of his 18 points in the second half and led GCU in rebounding again with nine boards. He made 4 of 8 field goals and 9 of 10 free throws.
