Lopes improve to 2-0 with another blowout home win

Grand Canyon routed Northern Arizona 89-55 on Sunday at GCU Arena in the I-17 programs' first meeting in nine seasons.

GCU senior guard Collin Moore affected the game with two-way play, grabbing four steals and disrupting NAU offense.
Key moment
After allowing NAU to open the game with a 10-1 lead, the Lopes came out of head coach Bryce Drew's time out with a 12-0 run that shut out the Lumberjacks for four minutes. The run started with a follow score by graduate power forward Gabe McGlothan and ended with a 3-pointer from redshirt freshman Isaiah Shaw to take a 13-10 lead.
Key statistic
The Lopes' depth came at the Lumberjacks in waves for 48 bench points, particularly with the size of reserve center Sydney Curry going 7 for 7 from the field for a team-high 17 points.
