Grand Canyon beach volleyball head coach
Kristen Rohr is bound for Turkey to take part in coaching the U19 U.S. national team at the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball World Championships in Turkey.

"I am so honored to be given the opportunity to coach the U19 U.S. national teams at the World Championships," Rohr said. "It's a privilege to wear USA on my shirt and be able to do what I love on one of the biggest stages for these athletes. We have a great group of athletes who have been working hard prepping for this event and we are excited to bring home some hardware."
The United States has two teams represented in the Dikili, Turkey, tournament. One squad will begin playing qualifying matches on Wednesday in an attempt to make the main draw. Another U.S. team has advanced to the main draw, which will begin on Thursday.
All matches will be streamed on the
Beach Volleyball World YouTube page for free.
Rohr's opportunity to coach with the national team comes on the heels of her
being named the American Volleyball Coaches Association National Coach of the Year for leading GCU's beach volleyball program to its first appearance in the NCAA tournament last spring.
