THIBODAUX, La. – The Grand Canyon women's basketball team completed its first road trip with 12 scorers, 19 steals and 38 points off turnovers in a 79-41 victory at Nicholls on Friday night.

Tiarra Brown had four steals. The Lopes moved into first in the nation for steals per game (20.7).
The Lopes led by as much as 24 twice in the second quarter and went into the locker room up 40-17.
GCU outscored the Colonels (2-2) 19-9 in the third quarter and 20-15 in the fourth. Twelve Lopes earned a tally in the scorers' column, with Brown leading the way with 12, including 10 in the second half, on 6-of-6 shooting from the field.

Dominique Phillips each had 11, while Zars finished two points shy of a double-double with eight points and 10 rebounds.
The Lopes pocketed 19 steals for the third straight game with double-digit steals. In 60 games played under Miller, 48 have resulted in double-digit steals.
GCU is back in action on Friday for the first day of the GCU Thanksgiving Classic. The Lopes host Lindenwood, Manhattan and North Dakota and will play North Dakota on Friday at 2:30 p.m. and conclude the tournament versus Lindenwood on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
