Alaina Harper made her collegiate debut in a Nov. 7 win vs. Arizona Christian and then provided a spark off the bench in Saturday night's victory against Grambling State to earn WAC Freshman of the Week honors.

rward from Hartland, Wisconsin, Harper played 15 minutes in GCU's record-setting 109-53 blowout of Arizona Christian, scoring six points with six rebounds – including four offensive - as the Lopes set the program's Division I-era single-game records in points, steals (30) and assists (30).
Harper provided a boost off the bench Saturday vs. Grambling State, recording eight points and seven rebounds in 10 minutes. With the Lopes in foul trouble in the first half, Harper registered six points and four rebounds in the final six minutes of the second half to keep GCU within striking distance of the Tigers.
Harper finished the week with 14 points and 13 rebounds, seven of which came on the offensive glass. The Lopes play next at Nicholls State on Friday at 5 p.m. (Phoenix time).
