The third set saw both offenses come alive as the Lopes edged the Mustangs. Down 13-10, the Lopes scored four points in a row to regain the lead and maintained the slim advantage at 19-18. Two kills by Gianni and another kill by substitute Grayson Browning put the Lopes ahead 23-20 before closing out the set.
