GCU travels to Tempe, Ariz. to take on PAC-12 opponent Arizona State in a single night game on Tuesday evening. The Sun Devils are ranked 14^th nationally and most recently went 2-1 against Utah in Salt Lake City, UT. GCU comes into the evening match up after dropping two games to New Mexico State.

NO. 1 AND 2 IN THE WAC: In the WAC, junior outfielder Gianna Nicoletti ranks first in stolen bases (21) and second in batting average (.417). Sophomore left hander Sydnie Sahhar is second in saves (2) in the WAC The Lopes rank first in as a team in the WAC in runs (161).
FIRST TIME: GCU and Arizona State will meet for the first time ever on Tuesday evening.

SCOUTING

Arizona State comes into the mid-week single game ranked 14^th in the nation. The Sun Devils are 21-9 overall and 4-5 in PAC-12 play. As a team ASU ranks 12^th nationally in team batting average (.340). In the box the Sun Devils have hit 60 home runs and 46 doubles. On the rubber ASU has three pitchers who are averaging a 3.31 ERA and have totaled 186 strikeouts. Twin sisters Kindra and Maddi Hackbarth lead the Sun Devils in almost every offensive category. Kindra has a team high of .413 batting average and on base percentage of .495. Maddi is hitting .412 but has a team high of 10 doubles and 14 home runs along with a slugging percentage of 1.024. Arizona native and sophomore Lindsay Lopez has logged the most innings in the circle for ASU with 79.0. She has made 12 starts and appeared in 19 games as well as throwing six complete games. Lopez has nine of the Sun Devils 21 wins. Freshman Allison Royalty is second in ERA with a 3.52 in 67.2 innings pitched. Royalty has a team high of 76 strikeouts and hitters against her as hitting .218.

LAST TIME OUT

GCU traveled to Las Cruces where they went 1-2 and improving to 4-2 in WAC play. Against New Mexico State the Lopes hit seven home runs on Friday in their double header.
