Grad success rate continues steady climb

GCU holds nation's 4th-largest GSR improvement over last 7 years
Grand Canyon's graduation success rate continued its steady climb, checking in at 85% in newly released data by the NCAA.
The Lopes rank fourth among 13 WAC members. GCU has posted the nation's fourth-biggest GSR improvement over the last seven years.
Up from an 84% mark a year ago and 80% two years ago, GCU's student-athletes graduated at an 85% rate, a number that has improved by 28% over the past seven years. The data released on Thursday considers student-athletes who began college in 2014 and graduated within six years.
Of the 16 GCU programs measured, 14 registered a rate above 77%. Twelve programs were above 80%. The GCU men's tennis program posted a perfect 100% GSR. Women's soccer was not far behind with a 96% GSR. Men's volleyball, softball, baseball and women's swimming and diving rounded out the top-performing six programs.
