Lopes earn NCAA Public Recognition Award

GCU earned a perfect APR score this year
The Grand Canyon women's volleyball team was a recipient of the NCAA Public Recognition Award. This honor is bestowed on teams with a multiyear Division I Academic Progress Rate in the top 10% of all volleyball teams based on the APR data released in May.
The NCAA recognized 1,380 DI programs from 326 schools for academic excellence, handing out 52 more awards than the previous academic year. Like every other women's team in the top 10%, the Lopes volleyball team earned a perfect APR score.

The APR measures eligibility, graduation and retention each semester or academic term and provides a clear picture of the academic performance for each team in every sport. The most recent APRs are multiyear rates based on scores from the 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.
