Grand Canyon freshman center Katie was named WAC Player of the Week for the first time in her career and the first time for the Lopes this season.
Coming off their first loss of the season, Scott and the Lopes bounced back with two road wins to bring GCU to a 6-1 record.
The Carl Junction, Missouri, native shot 72% from the field for the week that started with a 20-point game in only 22 minutes at Eastern Washington. She notched her fourth 20-plus point game of the season by making 8 of 11 shots and adding six rebounds.
"I think the bounce back was really important for our team and also on an individual basis," Scott said. "Having a rough game before and coming back with a strong 20-point game was a really big confidence booster for me. I attribute a lot of my points to the hard work by my teammates."

Scott followed with a 15-point, two-assist, one-steal game in only 11 minutes Friday at Houston Baptist. She made 5 of 7 shots, including both of her 3-point tries.
Scott is averaging a team-high 17.7 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 18.3 minutes per game while shooting 59.8% from the field. She has connected on 8 of 14 shots from 3-point range.
The Lopes play Arizona Christian at 1 p.m. Monday in GCU Arena.
