The Grand Canyon women's basketball team completes the first half of conference play this week when it hosts UT Rio Grande Valley and New Mexico State.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW

DOUBLE-DOUBLE MACHINE: Senior power forward Da'jah Daniel enters the week with nine double-doubles, ranking 24th in the nation. She leads the WAC in rebounding at 10.2 rebounds per game, which ranks 25th nationally.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Freshman Mae Bryant was named the WAC Player of the Week. In conference games, Bryant has stepped up her role with 12 points per game and 6.7 rebounds per game in a reserve role.
OWN THE PAINT: Bryant and Daniel are among the WAC's top five for field goal percentage. Bryant ranks second with a 54.8% clip, while Daniel ranks fifth at 54,2%.

SCOUTING

UT Rio Grande Valley is 3-3 in WAC play with wins against California Baptist, Chicago State and Seattle U. Last week, the Vaqueros lost an overtime tilt at New Mexico State 76-75.

UTRGV is led by Trelynn Tyler with 14.1 points per game.

New Mexico State has WAC wins against California Baptist, Chicago State, Seattle U and UTRGV.

The Aggies feature WAC leading scorer Gia Pack with 18.7 points per game.

LAST TIME OUT

GCU captured a pair of road contests at Seattle U and Utah Valley.
