A native of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Mitchell averaged a WAC-best 6.0 digs per set in a career-best 18-dig performance in the Lopes' straight-set victory at Chicago State. She added 27 digs to secure her seventh double-double of the season, along with three kills and a service ace in the feat.
Mitchell's well-rounded game has paced the Lopes all season, as the freshman leads GCU with 466 assists to average 9.2 per set. Mitchell has 136 digs, 48 kills and 10 service aces through 13 games.
Mitchell and the Lopes face Kansas City on the road Monday night before returning home to host Seattle U on Thursday and Utah Valley on Saturday.
