After suffering its first WAC series loss of the season, the Grand Canyon softball team returns to GCU Softball Stadium to face the conference's top team, Seattle U, in a three-game series this weekend. GCU and Seattle U square off in a doubleheader on Friday night and return for the series finale and the Lopes' Senior Night on Saturday night.
GCU is honoring a quartet of graduating seniors, including
Shea Smith,
Maddie Dowdle,
Taylor Kaye and
Sierra Smith. All four starters will be honored in a ceremony following Saturday's game.Â
The Lopes fell one game behind Seattle U last weekend in Las Cruces, as GCU lost the first and third games of the three-game series against the Aggies. GCU looks to clinch the series against the Redhawks for the second-straight season this weekend.Â
