Kona Quiggle was named WAC Hitter of the Week on Monday. The award marks the second weekly conference accolade for Quiggle this season.
Quiggle was 10 for 19 (.526) in the week's four road games, one at Nevada and a three-game series at Utah Valley. Quiggle picked up four doubles and a home run en route to a six-RBI week.
Quiggle had at least two hits in each of the Lopes' four games on the week, highlighted by a career-high four-hit game in the series opener at Utah Valley on Friday night.
In Wednesday's win at Nevada, Quiggle hit a home run to left-center to break open a tight game. GCU's 4-2 lead became a 6-2 lead with the blast, and the Lopes went on to win 8-2 to cap off a sweep of the season series with the Wolf Pack.
Quiggle ran his doubles total to 13 on the year, a mark that is tied for 11th in the country.
The Phoenix native ranks in the conference's top 10 in numerous categories including batting average (10th, .346), slugging percentage (5th, .673), doubles (2nd, 13) and home runs (6th, 6).
GCU is set to host UNLV on Tuesday before continuing WAC play at New Mexico State over the weekend.
