Lopes hosting walk-on tryouts

Dan Majerle and the Grand Canyon men's basketball team are hosting tryouts for walk-ons on Thursday, Sept. 13, at noon at GCU Basketball Practice Facility.
Those interested in attending the tryouts must complete the tryout packet (available here), which includes a participant checklist, medical packet and sickle cell trait test or waiver form. Also, anyone trying out for the team must bring a copy of the front and back of his insurance card. Participants also must have had a physical within the past six months and be registered with the NCAA Eligibility Center.
To be cleared by GCU Sports Medicine, visit Building 12 on the first floor with a completed medical packet. To be cleared by the Office of Athletics Compliance, visit Building 26 on the third floor with the walk-on participant checklist completed by the student and a Sports Medicine staff member.
