Brianna Aguilar-Beaucage is your Western Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week, announced Monday by the conference office. The accolade represents the second for Bobo this season and the third of her career.
A native of Tucson, Arizona, Aguilar-Beaucage finished 3-1 last week while holding an ERA of 1.85 over 22.2 innings pitched. With a 19-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio, Bobo threw three complete games including two shutouts and two one-hitters, while allowing just three extra-base hits.
Aguilar-Beaucage held a perfect game through six innings against Iowa on Sunday, giving up just a single run in the seventh to claim the 1-0 victory for the Lopes.
Grand Canyon closes the GCU Invitational tonight against Iowa, as the first pitch is set to be thrown at 7 p.m. (MST). Admission to all GCU softball games is free of charge.
