PHOENIX, Ariz. – After a split weekend at Seattle U and Utah Valley, the Lopes (14-13, 8-5 WAC) look to close the regular season on a high note with a finale at CSU Bakersfield (16-11, 10-3 WAC) on Saturday afternoon. GCU can either finish to be the third or fourth seed for the tournament, which starts Wednesday, March 7 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. This season marks the first that any GCU team is postseason eligible, and the Lopes will aim to make the first season memorable.

Scouting CSU Bakersfield
The WAC-leading Roadrunners are 16-11 on the year and 10-3 in WAC play, as CSU Bakersfield has lost at New Mexico State, versus Kansas City and at Seattle U. CSUB opened its season with a loss at UTEP and a win versus Fresno Pacific. The Runners fell at San Jose State and No. 9 Stanford before downing Cal State Fullerton and Southern Utah.
CSUB then lost three-straight to SMU, UC Riverside and South Dakota before beating Whittier College, Omaha and Boise State. The Roadrunners fell to Cal Poly and UC Irvine to close out non-conference play.
Last season, CSUB was 15-14 and 10-4 in the WAC, as the Roadrunners fell in overtime to Utah Valley in the first round of the conference tournament, 59-53.
