PHOENIX, Ariz. – The Grand Canyon women's basketball team looks to win its fourth-straight contest on Tuesday night, as the Lopes (5-8, 0-0 WAC) host Arizona Christian (11-2, 0-0 GSAC) in the non-conference slate finale at the GCU Arena on Tuesday, Jan. 2 at 6 p.m. Admission to the game is free of charge and it will be streamed live on the WAC Digital Network.
Prior to a 10-day holiday break from competition, the Lopes defeated Northern Arizona on the road and Southern Utah and Santa Clara inside the GCU Arena for three-straight victories. Senior
Brie Mobley leads GCU with four double-doubles on the year, the most recent (16 points, 13 rebounds) against Santa Clara.

Scouting Arizona Christian
An NAIA member, Arizona Christian holds an impressive 11-2 record on the year, with its only losses coming to Providence on November 4 and Rocky Mountain College on December 16. ACU is on a two-game winning streak after it defeated Taylor University on Dec. 29 and Olivet Nazarene on Dec. 30.
The Firestorm opened the season with a dominant victory over Benedictine Mesa before falling in its second contest. After the loss, ACU went on an eight-game winning streak. The Firestorm have surpassed the 100-point benchmark three times this season.
Tonight's game will stand as an exhibition for ACU, as the Firestorm begins Golden State Athletic Conference play on Saturday against Vanguard University. Last year, ACU was an even 14-14 overall and 8-8 in conference play.
