Comeaux named WAC Golfer of the Week

Billy Comeaux of the Grand Canyon men's golf team has been named the Western Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week, it was announced by the WAC office.
Comeaux, a senior from Tucson, shot a 4-under par 212 to win the Sac State Invitational, leading the Lopes to their third tournament win of the season. He is also the third different Lope to claim an individual title, joining teammates Jake Chanen and Matt McClung.
The Lopes were the only team under par in the tournament, finishing with a 862 (-2) total, defeating runner-up CSU Fullerton by 12 shots. GCU remained unbeaten against WAC opponents, easily finishing ahead of 12th-place CSU Bakersfield.
Grand Canyon is back in action on March 17-18 when it hosts the GCU Invitational at Grand Canyon Golf Course.
