The Grand Canyon women's basketball team will conclude the 2017 campaign on Saturday, Mar. 4 against CSU Bakersfield. Tip is set for 2 p.m. MST.
The Lopes will honor their seven seniors prior to the start of the contest.
Last Time Out
The Grand Canyon women's basketball team dropped a 77-65 decision to UMKC on Saturday afternoon at Swinney Recreation Center. The Lopes pulled within five points in the final quarter but the Roos took care of the basketball and hit free-throws to seal the win.

1. GCU will honor its seven seniors Aniya Baker,
Marina Laramie,
Alyx Bloom,
Laura Marcos-Canedo,
Erika Thomas,
Julieh Clark and
Tanesha Daniels. The seven will be honored prior to tip-off on Saturday.Â
2. With an 11-2 home record, GCU has tied for the best mark since the 2013-14 season.
GCU's lone losses have been at the hands of No. 10 Washington and New Mexico State. With the season finale against
CSUB, the Lopes have the opportunity to set a new home record come Saturday, Mar. 4.
3.Since returning to the court after an ankle injury, Laramie has performed well. Through WAC contests she's averaged 19.4 points per game, good for first place in the league. Overall, she is averaging 19.9 points per game good for No. 20 in the NCAA. She currently leads the conference in scoring by 3.8 points.Â
4. Through conference play,
Brie Mobley has been impressive. Sitting at second in the WAC in scoring with 17.5 ppg. She is currently tied for fifth with 7.5 boards per game and has put together three double double outings through conference action.Â
5. With one Lope leading the conference in scoring and a total of four in the top-5 in the conference standings, GCU continues to impress on the court. Laramie leads with 19.9 ppg.
Gajewski sits at fifth in the category (38.5).
Zelor Massaquoi is second with 7.9 rpg.
Aniya Baker sits in the top 2 with 3.8 apg.Â
CSUB Notables
The 'Runners are 14-13 on the year and 9-4 in WAC play. They are averaging 63.7 ppg with 34.1 rpg. Erika Williams leads the squad with 11.4 ppg.Jazmyne Bartee has a team-leading 6.9 rpg. Aja Williams, is averaging double-figures with 11.1 ppg.Â
GCU will meet CSUB for the 20th time in program history. The 'Runners hold the advantage in the all-time series at 2-17. CSUB also has the series lead through WAC contests at 2-5. In their last meeting, GCU fell to the 'Runners in 74-59 finish in in the Icardo Center.
