The Grand Canyon men's basketball team goes for the season sweep over the Redhawks in KeyArena as they travel to Seattle, Wash. on Thursday, February 16. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. MST and will be streamed online on the WAC Digital Network.

- Grand Canyon seeks their fifth consecutive win over UTRGV as the Vaqueros visit GCU Arena, where the Lopes have won 10 of their last 11 home games.
- GCU improved to 17-9 with an 83-71 win over New Mexico State on Saturday night. The Lopes overcame a 10-point second half deficit with a 19-0 run to seal the victory. DeWayne Russell scored 31 points, his fourth 30-plus point output of the season. Darion Clark tied a career best with 17 points.
- Following Saturday's game, Russell was named WAC Player of the Week after averaging 22.5 points and 7.5 assists to go along with 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game to lead the Lopes to a pair of victories over UTRGV and New Mexico State.
- The last time these two teams met, GCU overcame a 14-point deficit to defeat Seattle U at GCU Arena. Russell and Joshua Braun each had 19 points while Gerard Martin contributed 10 rebounds and 7 assists, both career-highs.
- Russell leads the WAC in both scoring and assists, averaging 22.5 points per game while dishing out an average of 5.3 assists per game. Russell led the WAC in assists in 2015-16.
- Russell and Braun rank second and fourth in the WAC in scoring in conference play, averaging 20.8 and 18.2 points, respectively. In conference-only play, Russell also leads in assists (6.8) and minutes played (40.1).
- With Russell's 31 points against New Mexico State on Saturday, he has now scored in double-figures in 28-straight games, the most by a GCU player in the Division I era.
- Russell is averaging 22.5 points per game, ranking 10th in the NCAA. Central Michigan's Marcus Keene leads the country (29.8).
- Russell ranks second in the country in minutes played, averaging 38.5 per game. Russell has played at least 38 minutes in 17-of-23 games this season.
- Russell and Braun are the only GCU players to have started every game they've played, but each has missed time. Gerard Martin had started the first 24 games before coming off the bench vs. UTRGV on Feb. 9.
- Cameron Dollar is in his eighth season as head of Seattle U, compiling a 106-133 record in 239 games at the helm. Dollar was a member of UCLA's 1995 national championship team as a player. He also coached seven seasons as an assistant at Washington.
- Brendan Westendorf, a Preseason All-WAC First Teams selection, has led the Redhawks in scoring this season, averaging 15.0 points in 24 games, while also having the team-lead in assists. Seattle U leads the WAC in assists, averaging 16.6 per game.
