The Grand Canyon men's basketball continues its December road trip, traveling to Las Vegas where they will host Morgan State on Wednesday, Dec. 27 for a home game at the Orleans Arena. Tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. MST (6:00 p.m. in Vegas) and will be broadcasted live in the Phoenix area on YurView (Ch. 4 Phoenix / Ch. 7 Tucson) and streamed online at GCU.tv. Out of market broadcast will also be available on ESPN3 (Subject to blackout within Arizona). Barry Buetel will be providing play-by-play with analyst Scott Williams and Kate Longworth on the sideline. The Orleans Arena is the site for the 2018 WAC Tournament in March.
GCU fans can listen live as Michael Potter and Tom Kuyper will be airing on 1580 AM The Fanatic as well as online via The Fanatic website or mobile app. The pregame show will start 15 minutes before tip and conclude with a postgame show featuring comments from head coach
Dan Majerle.

- Grand Canyon is 11-0 all-time against MEAC opponents, including a 3-0 record so far this season.
- The Lopes seek their first win of the season away from GCU Arena, taking on Morgan State for the first time in school history.
- This will be GCU's second neutral site game of the season, having previously played St. John's at Talking Stick Resort Arena on Dec. 5.
- The last time GCU played in Las Vegas, the Lopes took down Houston and Marshall in consecutive days to claim the Global Sports Classic title in December 2015.
- GCU ranks tied for 6th in the country in scoring defense (60.3 points per game). In the last three seasons, GCU is 28-2 when allowing 61 points or less.
- The Lopes rank 2nd in 3-point defense, holding opponents to just 25.7 percent from beyond the arc. They have also given up the second fewest 3-pointers of any team in the country, with just 49 allowed, one more than San Diego, who has played one less game.

- Dating back to last season, the Lopes have won 23 of their last 25 home games at GCU Arena. • Casey Benson is posting career-high averages for points (10.5), assists (5.3), rebounds (4.5), and steals (1.2) on the season.
- GCU leads the WAC in scoring defense (60.3), scoring margin (+11.8), field goal percentage defense (.395), three-point field goal percentage defense (.257), turnover margin (+2.8), assists (16.4), offensive rebounds (12.7) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.2).
- Wednesday's game marks the seventh of eight straight road games that Morgan State will play to close out the 2017. The Bears last played at home on Nov. 21 vs. Goldey-Beacom.
