PHOENIX, Ariz. – The Grand Canyon women's basketball team returns home for a single game on Wednesday, as the Lopes (0-4, 0-0 WAC) host Benedictine (3-3, 0-0 CALPAC) at 6 p.m. at the GCU Arena. GCU is looking for its first win under first year head coach
Nicole Powell at the helm.
Wednesday's game will be broadcast live on GCU.tv and live stats will be available. Admission to all Grand Canyon women's basketball games is free of charge.
The Lopes returned to Phoenix after suffering a pair of setbacks at Cal Poly and UNLV last week. Senior
Brie Mobley had a season-high 27 points against the Mustangs, while fellow senior
August Touchard tallied double-digits in both contests. Senior transfer
Jordan Jackson had a GCU career-high and team-best 12 points against the Rebels.

Scouting Benedictine
Benedictine, a member of the California Pacific Conference and the NAIA, was 17-11 last season and 10-4 in conference play. The Redhawks defeated Simpson, 78-68, in the Cal Pac semi-final before falling to California-Merced, 57-56, in the conference tournament finale.
The Redhawks played a future GCU opponent in Arizona Christian, as Benedictine was defeated, 93-68, on Nov. 2. They will face Embry-Riddle, Grand Canyon's exhibition opponent, on Dec. 7.
