The Grand Canyon women's basketball program will conclude its non-conference slate against Arizona Christian in a exhibition contest Wednesday night. Tip is set for 7 p.m. MST
The Lopes will look to capitalize on the momentum gained after defeating Chaminade last Saturday.

GCU defeated Chaminade 85-55 Saturday afternoon in its final contest in Hawai'i.
Brie Mobley led the Lopes with 19 points and 11 rebounds good for a double-double.

After a slow first half performance, GCU started the second half on fire, netting baskets on four-straight possessions, led by three-straight Mobley scores to go up 49-36 early in the period. The Lopes went on to put up 22 points, shooting 53.5 percent, led by Mobley's eight points. The 'Swords did fight back securing baskets on back-to-back possessions, but the Lopes wouldn't have it as they left the score at 62-45 to end the third.

The Lopes continued its red hot offense as Rarrick rained down treys to continue the Lopes momentum with a 71-48 lead. GCU went on to ball for the rest of the game off a complete performance from the bench that added 49 points to the total. The Lopes team work and energy led them to their final victory of 2016 as they defeated the 'Swords 85-55.Â

1. The Lopes will face Arizona Christian for the third-straight year. The game will mark their second exhibition contest in two years. GCU will also meet its first NAIA institution this year.
2. On Saturday against Chaminade,
Brie Mobley notched GCU's eigth double double of the year off a 19 point 11 rebound outing. She has led GCU in rebounds through three straight contests and notched her second double-figure board outing this season.
3. GCU has been consistent from long range on the young season, with 103 baskets from beyond the arc, the Lopes are averaging 7.9 treys per game. GCU is currently third in the WAC with a .347 3-point field goal percentage. The Lopes made 10 triples against Chaminade, with six of the 10 from
Casey Rarrick (6-of-9).Â
4. With four Lopes sitting in the top-5 in the WACÂ in their respective categories and two Lopes leading the conference in rebounds and assist/turnover ratio, GCU continues to impress on the court. Massaquoi continues to maintain a WAC leading 8.3 boards per game. Marcos-Canedo sits atop the leader boards with a 2.3 assist/turnover ratio allowing 21 turnovers through 49 assists. Gajewski is third in 3-point field goal percentage with a .422 mark, while
Aniya Baker is third with 4.2 assists per game.Â
5. The Lopes have done well in the turnover category this season. With a 1.2 turnover ratio, GCU's defense has caused problems for its opponents. GCU has averaged 15.8 takeaways thus far and has netted 186 points off turnovers this year. At Chaminade the Lopes forced 17 turnovers, netting 23 points off the 'Swords mistakes. GCU currently sits at third in the WAC in the category with 14.6 turnovers to its opponents 15.8.
Arizona Christian NotablesÂ
Arizona Christian is currently 7-6 on the year. The Firestorm dropped its final contest of 2016 at Emily-Riddle (66-55), after previously holding a four game win streak before. Most recently, ACU lost to Westmont College in a 64-55 finish.
Courtney Christmas leads ACU with 18.2 points per game and also leads the squad with 7.8 boards per contest.
GCU will meet the Firestorm for the fourth time in program history. The Lopes hold a 3-0 series advantage over the Firestorm. In their last meeting, GCU picked up the win in a 87-54 outcome in GCU Arena last season.Â
