| 1 | MOBLEY FOR THE WIN | Women's Basketball |
| Trailing by as much as seven in the final period, the women's basketball team mounted a furious rally to defeat UT Rio Grande Valley and improve to 2-1 in conference play. Facing a one-point deficit out of a timeout, Brie Mobley drove the lane and scored to put the Lopes in front 60-59 with 4.6 remaining. The Vaqueros' last-ditch effort was off at the buzzer and Trent May's squad claimed victory. (More: Recap | Mobley's winner) |

| 2 | BACK IN THE WIN COLUMN | Men's Basketball |
| Thanks to a career-high 20 points from Keonta Vernon and additional double-digit efforts from DeWayne Russell, Gerard Martin and Joshua Braun, the men's basketball team got back in the win column at UTRGV on Saturday. GCU dominated the boards and limited the Vaqueros to 31.3 percent shooting from the floor, but the Lopes lead was just one at the break. Grand Canyon knocked down four 3-pointers and made 29 trips to the foul line in the second half to pull away. (More: Game Recap | Video Recap) |

| Although the Lopes didn't come away with the win in Las Cruces (note: the games are getting increasingly closer), the Havocs once again journeyed to the state next door to support the men's basketball team. The trip cross state borders may be a 12-hour round trip, but the purple-clad students noticeably filled a large section of the Pan American Center. As impressive as the sight of the Havocs was, their volume was off even further off the charts. (Keep reading: Video recap) |

| 5 | WELCOME TO ACTION, INDOOR TRACK | Track & Field |
