Cutting-edge platform to feature GCU home events, away conference games, replays, conferencewide coverage
MW+ officially launched on Wednesday, debuting the exclusive streaming home of GCU Athletics and the Mountain West.
MW+ will serve as the primary streaming destination of GCU home athletic events, road games in conference play and other MW programming. The platform will be available worldwide and accessible through web and mobile, iPhone and Android mobile devices, Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Amazon Prime Channels (coming soon) and additional streaming platforms.
Subscriptions will be available for $79.99 annually or $10.99 monthly. Fans can subscribe through GCU's school-specific MW+ link at GCULopes.com/MW+.
"MW+ represents an exciting new digital home for GCU and the Mountain West," GCU Vice President of Athletics Jamie Boggs said. "This is a cutting-edge platform that gives us a powerful way to showcase our student-athletes, tell our stories and connect with Lopes fans everywhere. We are excited for MW+ to become a central destination for GCU."
Fans who sign up for a yearly subscription to MW+ now through September get a 15% discount.
MW+ will feature more than 1,000 live events annually across the conference, including live streams for Mountain West and nonconference home events that are not distributed on national linear television. For GCU fans, that includes events in men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, men's and women's soccer, baseball and softball.
The first live MW+ events of the fall will include men's and women's soccer and women's volleyball.
In addition to live broadcasts, MW+ will offer immediate replays after each live event. The platform also will include highlights, press conferences, coaches' shows, behind-the-scenes features, original storytelling, Mountain West media days and other conference programming throughout the year.
Each Mountain West school and sport will have its own designated streaming home within MW+. Fans will be able to select, follow and bookmark their preferred school and teams, allowing the platform to function as a customized hub for GCU Athletics content.
MW+ also will include fan engagement features at select events, including live chat, polling and multiview options when available. Fans who prefer a traditional viewing experience will be able to hide engagement features.
MW+ is one component of the MW's new media rights deal which also includes significant linear national television exposure from CBS, FOX and The CW.
